ASISC Bihar & Jharkhand Region

The Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC Bihar & Jharkhand Region) had its origin with a purpose of guiding newly affiliated schools of CISCE in the Bihar & Jharkhand Region regarding the education policies instituted from time to time by the State Government and the CISCE in particular.

It also began with a purpose to coordinate various activities of its member’s schools for the benefit of the students, teachers and the Heads of the Institution by organizing various Literary Competitions, Sports & Games Competitions and training programmes for enhancing teaching skills and administrative skills for the teachers and administrators periodically.

The Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate

The founder members of this association felt the need to formally register this association as a society. Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Eric Cassel S.J. a draft of the Memorandum of the Association and the bylaws was prepared. However, it must be noted that as a group of Principals, they met each year since its inception in 1987.

After the formation of Jharkhand state in the year 2000, the ASISC – Bihar is now Known as the ASISC Bihar & Jharkhand Region. It is very heartening to note that the seeds sown by the founder members of this association 36 years ago with just three members has today grown into a strong and fruitful tree of over 150 member schools (39 from Bihar & 119 from Jharkhand)

The Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate for the Bihar Region, was formally registered as a Society under the Society Registration Act 1880 on November 14, 1994 in the erstwhile Bihar. The Founder Members are as follows:

Membership to the A.S.I.S.C

Procedure to be followed for Membership to the A.S.I.S.C. – Bihar & Jharkhand Region.

A school which desires a membership to the A.S.I.S.C. – Bihar/Jharkhand Region must be a school affiliated to the C.I.S.C.E New Delhi.
The following procedure must be adopted for getting the membership:

A letter addressed to the undersigned stating your desire to join the association as its member.
Kindly provide a photocopy of your affiliation certificate. (Membership only open to the schools affiliated to C.I.S.C.E, New Delhi).

A payment of Rs.13000 (Rs 10000 – towards one time membership + Rs. 3000 – towards annual subscription) must be made while applying for membership. Details of this payment is provided below.
Mode of Payment for Membership: You may make your Payment for membership to the association by a Demand Draft or a Cheque or by NEFT.

If payment is made by Demand Draft or Cheque it may be made in favour of "The Association of Heads of Schools of Bihar and Jharkhand". This should then be sent by Courier to : The Treasurer, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Principal, D. B. M. S. English School, Road No. 7, B. H. Area, Kadma, Jamshedpur : 831 005 and a copy of the same should be mail to the Regional Secretary, A.S.I.S.C. Bihar & Jharkhand Region in the email address stanthonys1971@gmail.com.

If Payment is made by NEFT, kindly make the same in the details given below and send the UTR No. along with other details to The Treasurer, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Principal, D. B. M. S. English School, Road No. 7, B. H. Area, Kadma, Jamshedpur : 831 005 and a copy of the same should be mail to the Regional Secretary, A.S.I.S.C. Bihar & Jharkhand Region in the email address stanthonys1971@gmail.com. :
